Prior to Clarke: Was on the cross country and track and field teams at Wouth Winneshiek High School in Calmar, Iowa...a four-year letterwinner on both teams...on the cross country team, four-time UIC Conference Team Champions, UIC Individual Conference Champion and Third Place, Team District Champions, Individual District Third and Fourth Place, Individual State Qualifier twice, Team State Qualifier four times...A Honor Roll every semester...participated in Speech, SODA, Student Government, and National Honors Society.
