Bickler's top-15 finish leads to Heart Women's Runner of the Week honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the first time this season a member of the Clarke University cross country team earned a weekly honor from the Heart of America Athletic Conference as sophomore Rory Bickler earned the Women's Runner of the Week in the Conference Monday afternoon.

Bickler and the Pride ran at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge last Saturday as she put up a 19:30.60 5K time, just 11 seconds slower than her personal best time set earlier in the season.

That 19:30.60 time helped Bickler finish in 14th place individually in the field of the Great Lakes Challenge White race where she was just 10 seconds away from the eighth place finisher.

Last Saturday's race was the last race of the regular season for the Pride as they will have this weekend off to prepare for the Heart Cross Country Championships that will take place at Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Nov. 6.
