Pride Wrap Up Competition at the Heart of America Indoor Championships

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Clarke University track and field program wrapped up competition at the Heart of America Indoor Championships on Saturday. The men placed 11th out of the 13 competing teams with 19 team points, while the women took 10th with 11 team points.  

Noah Church was named third-team All-Conference after placing third in the 3000-meter race walk with a time of 15:00.10, breaking his own school record and improving on his previous NAIA B standard time.

Timothy Miller took fourth in the heptathlon after scoring 4,079 points, while teammate James Vandun took fifth with 3,957 points. Miller won the pole vault portion of the event after clearing 4.05 meters, while Vandun won the long jump at 6.41 meters. Both were named honorable mention All-Conference.

Kole Haverly took sixth in the 600-meter race after finishing with a time of 1:25.51, setting a new school record. Haverly also topped his all-time best mark in the 800-meter race after clocking in at 2:02.85, which placed him 12th in the race. Haverly earned honorable mention All-Conference with his placement in the 600-meter race.

On the women's side, Rory Bickler was named honorable mention All-Conference after taking sixth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:18.51. Freshman Emma Grant capped of a solid indoor season with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault after clearing 3.12m (10' 2.75")

The 2022 outdoor season is currently being scheduled and is not available at this time.
