Pride fall 2-0 to Ravens to end road stretch

ATCHISON, Kan. - With no midweek game on the schedule for the second of three-straight weeks, the Clarke University women's soccer team traveled for another Heart of America Athletic Conference game in Atchison, Kan. in a 2-0 loss to Benedictine College.

At the five-minute mark, Clarke goalie Faith Krapfl would take a short goal kick to Morgan Lock, Lock would then pass the ball back to Krapfl in an attempt to clear where it would bounce off of Rowan Yows of the Ravens and ultimately finished by Payton Vogelbacher to make it 1-0 early.

With that score holding all the way to the second half, BC would strike again in the 79th minute when Madison Casey scored Ravens off of a free kick that she was able to put just under the crossbar outside of Krapfl's reach.

The Pride would have four shots total for the game taken by Liv Turnquist, Hailey Packer, Samantha Miller, and Laryssa Pritchard with Pritchard taking the only shot on goal during the game for CU.

The Pride are back home on Saturday, Oct. 18th for a homecoming and senior night matchup against Missouri Baptist University with a kickoff at 5 p.m. CT.
