KCAC announces women's lacrosse Scholar-Athletes as four members of the Pride receive honor
WICHITA, Kan. - Following the completion of the 2022 regular season, four Clarke University women's lacrosse student-athletes received Scholar-Athlete status in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, the KCAC announced on Wednesday.
Included in the 44 total student-ahteletes across the KCAC that earned Scholar-Athlete recogntion include Madison Frey, Sarah Kile, Haley Kline, and Emily Moran as they fit the criteria of a Scholar-Athlete determined by the KCAC.
That criteria is that All-KCAC Scholar-Athlete Academic Award recognizes excellence in the classroom by KCAC member student-athletes who:
- are sophomores or above in academic standing at the beginning of the semester in which they compete.
- carry a minimum 3.250 cumulative GPA at the beginning of the semester in which they compete.
- student-athletes must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at the KCAC institution to be eligible.
Clarke women's lacrosse finished the 2022 season with a 1-9 record and look to build off of head coach Louis Deeny's first season towards improved on-field results.
