Pride women's golf wraps up 2024-25 season at Heart Championships
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - For the second-straight week, a Clarke University golf team took part in their final tournament of the season as the Pride women closed out 2024-25 at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships at Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate on Tuesday afternoon.
CU's team of four consisted of Gabby Weyland, Jessi Wagner, Maya England, and Irene Metaxas as Weyland came away with the top placement out of the group with a 34th place final score three-round total of 313 with a 102 in the first round, 104 in the second, and 107 to close the tournament out on Tuesday.
Wagner finished tied for 41st with a 324, England finished in 45th with a 356, and Metaxas closed out the team scoring with a 46th place 383 for the team to finish in 10th place at a final three-round team score of 1,376.
Wagner, England, and Metaxas are all expected to return for the 2025-26 season with a significant influx of an incoming 2025 recruiting class following Director of Golf Brock Hartley's first season at the helm of the golf programs at Clarke.
