Pride close out 2023-24 season at Heart Championships

MORAVIA, Iowa - Back at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake for the first time since the Heart Fall Preview in late October, the Clarke University women's golf team produced numerous quality scores on Monday and Tuesday's three total rounds at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.

Led by Halle Boldt's three runs in the 90s, the junior would finish tied for 37th in the 55-woman field to lead the Pride with her three-round total of 290 as Gabby Weyland was not far behind Boldt, also shooting a sub-300 three-round total to tie for 40th with her 294 to finish the championship.

Jessi Wagner finished in 47th, Maddie Patten finished in 48th, and Camdyn Penick in 51st to round out the five-woman group for CU as they would finish in 10th place as a team.

The team and individual championships were earned by Mount Mercy University as the Mustangs finished in first place as a team with their final team score of 938 as Aoi Ito of MMU earned the individual tournament championship with her 233, three shots ahead of Emma Lawson from William Penn University, who finished as the runner-up.

This closes out the 2023-24 season for Clarke women's golf as they will expect to return a majority of their roster from this season for the 2024-25 year.
