Pride See Four Record Top-10 Finishes at Drake Alternative Meet
WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Clarke University Pride men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the regular season on Friday at the Drake Alternative Meet, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
In all, four members of the Pride recorded top-10 finishes at the competition.
The Pride's top finisher of the day was Brandon Martin, who placed fifth in the 100-meter dash finals. The Las Vegas, Nev., native set a personal-best in the preliminary stage, shaving three-tenths of a second off his previous best time.
Kole Haverly set a new career-best in the 800-meter race, crossing the finish line at 1:59.14 to place eighth against 44 runners. Haverly has now finished in the top-10 of the 800-meter race in each meet this season.
Brennan Shelton took 10th in the 3000-meter steeplechase for the second time this season after finishing in 12:34.26. Timothy Miller finished the pole vault in 11th place after clearing 12' 6" (3.81m).
Over on the women's side, Rory Bickler closed out the 1,500-meter in 10th place, coming in at a time of 5:11.14. Sydney Norman placed 11th in the high jump with a mark of 4' 9" (1.45m).
Kaytlin Eder, competing in the javelin, took 11th after throwing for 92' 2" (28.09m), giving the sophomore a new career-best in the event.

The Pride will shift focus to the Heart of America Outdoor Championships next weekend in Oskaloosa on May 6-7.
