Pride close 2025 season with Senior Night draw against Culver-Stockton

DUBUQUE, Iowa - In their final home game of 2025, the Clarke University men's soccer team finished their Wednesday night Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup against Culver-Stockton College at a 2-2 draw at Burrows Field.

Prior to the game, the Pride recognized their 2025 senior class that included Xzavier Campa, Justin Bebanga, Luke Revels, Nathan Weale, Joey Ward, Alejandro Notch, Carles Aparisi, Nicolas Lizondo, Geraldo Palma, Armando Torrent, Luis Mejia, Hector Medrano, Enoch Musengo, and Christopher Broderick for the final home game of their time at Clarke.

As for the action on the field, Clarke would get on the board early when Javi Munoz scored his sixth goal of the season in the 10th minute to give the Pride an early 1-0 lead to put Munoz in a tie for the team lead in goals, with six, and points, with 13, on the season.

That tie would last about 38 more minutes of game action as William Arana would give CU a 2-0 lead in the second half with his seventh goal of the season on an assist from Munoz for Arana to regain his lead on the team for goals with seven and finish the year a point ahead of Munoz with 15 as Munoz finished with 14 after assisting on that final tally.

After that 58th minute goal, the Wildcats would put a push forward offensively and get fouled in the box right around the 66-minute mark in the game as Ethan Wilkinson-Felgate would step to the penalty spot and hit a near perfect ball into the top left corner of the goal to cut the Clarke lead down to 2-1.

About six minutes after that, CSC would earn a corner kick that would be initially punched out by Lizondo but ball to the feet of Santiago Martinez as he found the back of the net for the equalizer in the 73rd minute to put the score at it's eventual final of 2-2.

With that result, that officially put an end to the 2025 season for Clarke men's soccer as they finished with a Heart record of 3-6-4 to place outside of the top-eight of the Heart standings and miss out on the Heart Tournament with CU finishing with a final overall record of 5-6-6.
