Pride bowling shows solid individual results at Kohawk Invitational
Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Nearing the final stretch of their 2022-23 season, the Clarke University bowling teams took to the lanes at the Kohawk Invitational in Cedar Rapids this past weekend.
Both teams didn't find the most collective team success but individuals still provided strong results with two men and all four women posting full five-game individual scores, led by Shane Jordan for the men and Emma Clancy for the women.
Both Clancy and Jordan bowled two games over 200 with Jordan scoring a men's team-high 222 in his opening game then a 202 in the third game to finish with a total of 948 for an average of 189.6 while Clancy scored 204 in her first game then went better in the fourth game at 214 for a total of 938 and a five-game average of 187.6.
Clancy's 214 wasn't the women's team high score as that distinction belonged to Zoe Schultz as she scored 234 in her first game as she finished with 902 total pins. Kassidy Gerken finished between Clancy and Schultz with her pin total of 918 as she bowled three games over 200 but had the other two at or around 150 to average 183.6 pins per game as Stephanie Thompson rounded out the women's team scoring with her pin total of 794.
For the men, senior Adante Jones was the only other member of the Pride to bowl in all five games as he finished at a 842 with his best game coming in the third with a 212 for his only above 200. Both Caden Bainbridge (702) and Mannix Amos (668) bowled four games, Joey Pagan (460) and Jordan Gorgas (444) bowled in three games, and Landen Freismuth bowled a single game of 127.
Clarke bowling will have one more regular season competition remaining in the Hoosier Classic on Feb. 18-19 after a weekend away from competition before the Heart Championships take place on Feb. 25-26.
