Pride bowling closes out 2022 fall schedule at Warhawk Open
ADDISON, Ill. - In their final tournament before the winter break in action, the Clarke University bowling teams finished with a 20th and 25th place finish respectively at the Warhawk Open last weekend.
The women's team had that 20th place finish in their return to action as a team in two months due to injuries as the men had the 25th place finish in Addison, Ill. at the Stardust Bowl.
CU's Kassidy Gerken had a 51st place finish in the individual competition as she averaged 171.17 pins over her six games with a high game of 228 in her fourth game. Gerken was followed closely by Emma Clancy who posted a pin total of 1025 for a six-game average of 170.83 to finish at 55th place.
Freshman Zoe Schultz had a 165.5 pins per game average to finish in 65th for the Pride as the scores were rounded out by Stephanie Thompson's 140.67 six-game average.
Clarke's men were led by the 71st place finish by Jordan Gorgas as the sophomore finished with a 184.5 average and a team-high 253 game in his fifth game for a total of 1107.
The remainder of the Pride men's lineup consistent of Adante Jones averaging a 169.5, Landen Freismuth scoring a six-game average of 168.2, Caden Bainbridge averaging 164.5, and Alexis Gutierrez finishing at a 153.7 pins per game average.
Clarke bowling will head into the winter break before returning to action in January for another trip to Addison on Jan. 14-15 before hosting their annual Clarke Invite on Jan. 28-29 at Cherry Lanes.
