Pride Esports hits Mid-Season for Spring 2022

The Clarke University Esports team have hit the mid-way point of their spring season last week, as the Pride have four weeks left in their regular season.

After their first competitive season last fall, the Pride are on track to have a strong postseason, with some teams having opportunities to be championship contenders.

This spring the CU welcomed a new team and a new player to the program. Michael Feliz joined Clarke University to immediately bolster our Call of Duty team, with the Pride adding Rocket League as a competitive title.

FIFA

The FIFA roster, comprised of Dominic Pedroza of the Navy team and Tommy Rea of the Gold team, have had a mixed start to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) season. The Navy team currently holds a 1-3 record, with the Gold team holding an undefeated record at 4-0. With only one other undefeated team remaining in the regular season, Tommy Rea is on track to be a title contender.

Rocket League

The Rocket League team started competition this Spring in the NACE Starleague Challenger season, getting off to a slow start with a 1-2 record. The team comprised of Justyse White, Ethan Jones, Darreon Mickell, and Victor Moreno were able to pick up their first win of the season last week against the University of Jamestown.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty team started their season in early January, competing in Season 4 of the College Call of Duty League. The team comprised of Ried Raisbeck, Michael Feliz, Diego Arenas, Samuel Swenor, and Jaydon Dennis, finished Stage 1 of the CCL season last week with a 4-8 record. Steadily improving each week, the team heads into Stage 2 of the CCL season, looking to improve their record and make it into the Last Chance Qualifier, where they can fight to qualify for the playoffs.

NBA 2K

The NBA 2K roster comprised of Keshawn Murphy of the Gold Team and Ben Blackburn of the Grey team, have both been able to pick up victories during the season in the ECAC. The Gold team currently holds a 2-2 record while the Grey team has a 1-3 record. With half the season left, both teams will look to pick up the necessary wins to qualify for the postseason.

Madden

The Madden roster comprised of Elijah Grogan of the Navy team, James Vandun of the Grey team, and Caleb Berry of the White team, all have had progressed well in the ECAC season and have experienced some technical issues with a few of their matches. Currently the Navy team and the Grey team both hold a 2-2 record, while the White team has a 1-3 record.

Fortnite

The Fortnite team comrpised of Jacob Schemmel and Devan Quesada have had some strong performances through the ECAC Duos season. The pair have almost consistently placed in the Top 5 in every single match, garnering an average 20 points each week and currently rank in the Top 10.
